Analytics cookies are only set if you give your consent in the banner.
If you reject it, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. PostHog, however, keeps measuring in cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device, does not identify you, and cannot recognise you between visits or across days, because it uses a derived identifier that rotates every 24 hours. It tells us how many people use each part of the product, not who you are. If you would rather we did not run that aggregate measurement either, tell us and we will stop (see below).
Legal basis
- Necessary cookies make the site work and remember your preferences; they do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- The cookieless measurement that continues after you reject the banner relies on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the service is used so we can improve it. It involves no identification, and you can object to it at any time.
How to manage or withdraw your consent
You can change your decision at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer: the banner will reappear so you can accept or reject. You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings.
If you also want to object to the aggregate cookieless measurement, email us at privacy@medianonymizer.com and we will switch it off for you. You do not need to give a reason.
