Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern access to and use of Medianonymizer (the "Service"), operated by F.Javier Pedrosa Ruiz. By using the Service you accept these terms; if you do not agree, do not use it.

2. Description of the service

Medianonymizer anonymizes documents, images, audio and video: it detects and removes personal data (faces, voices, licence plates, identifiers and sensitive text). It is a pay-per-use service with no account required.

3. Acceptable use and your responsibilities

By using the Service you represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to upload and process the files you submit and, where legally required, you have the consent of the people who appear in them (including their biometric data: faces and voices).
• You will not use it for unlawful purposes or to upload content you have no rights to, or that is illegal.
• You will review the result before relying on it.

4. Pricing and payment

• The price is shown before payment and depends on the file type and its size or duration.
• Payment is processed through Stripe. By confirming payment you authorize the corresponding charge.
• The currency is the one indicated during checkout.

5. Nature of the result and warranties

• For verifiable structured identifiers (e.g. national IDs, IBAN, cards), removal is deterministic.
• For names (AI detection), faces, licence plates and text in images (OCR), detection is "best effort" and may not be perfect: you must review the result before using it.
• The anonymization applied is irreversible (solid box or strong pixelation), not a reversible blur.

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. Nothing in these terms excludes liabilities that cannot be limited by law.

7. Retention and deletion

Files (the original you upload and the anonymized result) are deleted automatically within a maximum of 24 hours after the result becomes available. During that window, the original is kept so you can correct the result if something isn't right (see section 9); each free correction restarts this 24-hour window. Once it elapses without a new correction, both are deleted automatically and irrecoverably. See the details in our Privacy Policy.

8. Refunds

If a job fails irrecoverably due to a cause attributable to us, the amount paid for that job is refunded automatically.

9. Free corrections

• If the result isn't what you expected, you can correct it for free by reopening the selection wizard and confirming again, at no extra cost, while the file remains available (up to 24 hours after the result becomes available; each correction restarts that window, see section 7).
• The number of free corrections is limited by file type: 3 for video, 3 for audio, 10 for images and 10 for documents.
• Each correction replaces the previous result; earlier versions are not kept.
• This free correction does not apply to post-paid API contracts (api_postpaid).
• A free correction is not a refund: we do not offer refunds for aesthetic dissatisfaction with the result. The automatic refund described in section 8 continues to apply only to irrecoverable technical processing failures; the "best effort" nature of detection (section 5) is unchanged.

10. Intellectual property

You retain all rights over the files you upload and over the anonymized results. The Service's brand, software and content are owned by the Controller and protected by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect legal or service changes. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its last-updated date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of España, without prejudice to the mandatory rights granted to the user by consumer protection legislation.
